We are creating carefully planned, quality research for the youth one project at a time. We aim to make research more accessible and easy to understand, and share about the spirit of the ASEAN youth. In our quest to represent the voice of the ASEAN youth, we need your support!

Announcement of Project Clean Future 2023

AYO Research Center (AYO Recent) and Youth for Energy Southeast Asia (Y4E-SEA) have signed an MoU to collaborate on a joint research project, titled Project Clean Future. The theme of the research is “assessing ASEAN’s readiness for a clean energy transition”. The Research focuses on knowledge gaps,  awareness, investment landscape and gender disparities in work opportunities, and the profile of existing clean energy jobs.

The research will encompass a multidimensional approach by engaging relevant stakeholders and conducting in-depth analyses to capture a holistic view of ASEAN’s readiness for the clean energy transition: surveys and data collection, Identify challenges and gaps, and develop policy recommendation and action toolkits. The outcome of the research will be captured in a comprehensive research report will be jointly prepared by the two organizations and will be published on our website(s) in December 2023.

The project has secured a 30-minute presentation slot at the SDG7 Pavilion at UNFCCC COP28 in Dubai. The research findings will also be presented at relevant conferences and platforms to engage with a wider audience and be made available to policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders in the energy sector on our website(s).
